Not sure where today has gone but already 3:30 pm. We are at red arrow in above photo taken off our tv channel. Yes, cruising in Pacific Ocean off the west coast of Panama. Mostly smooth ride today but some long swells with outside temp of 81 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Last night we invited one of the headline entertainers, Brandi Chapman, to dine with us. We have cruised with her on a couple of cruises previously and dined with her then also. She is a beautiful, southern lady with a great voice. She used to open for many of the stars playing Branson in '90s.
Unfortunately, for us, she will be leaving the ship tomorrow in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, and heading back to her home in Naples, Florida. This afternoon she brought over a beautiful orchid since she could not take it with her.
After dinner the three of us went to the Jean Ann Ryan cast production show "Film Flashback". The cruise director has told the sound guy to turn the singer's mics down. The show would have been much better if we could have heard the singers!! Lorraine is NOT one of our favorite cruise directors. Tonight, we are going to Paul Pappas' show. He is also a headline entertainer, singer and pianist. If I have problems hearing again, I will have a talk with Lorraine. Rumor is on the cruise just before ours she got miserable ratings.
Early this morning I called and talked with my mom and dad. We get free phone time now on Regent too. We had a nice lunch in the Compass Rose today instead of our usual buffet upstairs. At 6:00 pm we will be attending a cocktail party for Seven Seas Society members (previous cruisers on Regent).
We will be docking in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, at 4:00 am tomorrow. The Captain says we have to arrive that early do to the strong tides. I am suppose to do a 9 hour tour starting at 6:30 am. Not sure about that now! Rebecca already canceled.
Below are a couple more photos in the evening as we sailed past Panama City after exiting the canal.
