Here is our position today at 10:00 am (1:00 pm central time). Pretty close to half way to the Hawaiian Islands. We will be docking on Kauai Tuesday morning. It is a bit warmer today as is already 75F. Mostly cloudy today with a chance for a passing shower or two later. Our ride today has improved but still having some long swells causing the ship to move about some. The ship's speed today is almost 19 knots (approx 22 mph) which is a little faster than normal.
We made some phone calls this morning. Rebecca called two friends and I called my parents to check up them. I also tried to call my younger sister, Teresa, as it is her birthday today. No answer so will try again later. One of our benefits for having cruised over 300 days on Regent (364 to be exact) is we get 9 hours of phone time free per segment.
We dined with Jeff & Alana last night. They also boarded in Miami with us and normally see them at the bar in evenings. Don't have a photo of them but will post one later. After dinner we did go to see Greg Bonham perform in showroom. He is an excellent performer.
So far today I have worked out and cleaned up. Rebecca is in fitness center now. Think we will be having chicken Ceasar salads again for lunch. Tonight we will be dining with two staff members that we cruised with on our Circle South America cruise in 2012. Elda is the assistant cruise director and Iria is the excursions manager. The show tonight is a Jean Ann Ryan production show, "Backstage Pass", featuring songs from Broadway musicals. We will be on the front row as usual!
Below are some photos I took of one of the production shows, "Cirque Rock & Roll", that I took on the Miami to LA segment. Again, sorry some are blurry. I was not moving, they were! GREAT SHOW!
