We sailed an hour late last night at 6:00 pm. Captain Felice (no jokes about having an Italian Captain) said they had more palates of food and other supplies to load prior to sailing. He also warned us that the sea may be rough for our trip to Nassau. Turns out it was a little bumpy but not bad at all.
It was 7:00 pm before we left our suite to go down to the Horizon Lounge for cocktails. The bartender was from Romania so we had a nice chat with him and some other passenger couples. I went Prime 7, the steakhouse, and asked Stan, the maitre'd, if we could get in. He told us to come back at 8:30 so we did. Rebecca had a nice petite filet and I had Dover sole. Both service and food was great.
The ship arrived here in Nassau at 7:00 am but we did not get out of bed until 7:45. We were not doing any tours today so why get up early. Last night we put room service request card out and asked for breakfast to be delivered at 8:00 am. Scrambled eggs for Rebecca and cereal & muffin for me. After a relaxing breakfast we went to the fitness center for our hour workout. They had all new machines and equipment in the fitness center. Not many working out on port days so was nice.
I walked off ship for about 30 minutes as the town was just a block away. Too many tourists from the 4 ships in port and nothing to do except shop so came back. Just back from lunch up in La Veranda buffet. The stewardess made up our suite while we ate and delivered our Dallas Morning News paper. They download and print it daily for us. They also spray washed our balcony and cleaned door which really helped.
Tonight is formal dress optional because it is the Captain's Welcome Aboard party at 6:00 pm. We sail at 5:00 pm. I will be wearing my tuxedo. Probably not many will. We also have received an invitation to dine this evening with Carlos, the Food & Beverage Director. The first production show with the ship's singers and dancers is also tonight at 9:30.
Ok, now for today's photos. I walked around the ship this morning taking some photos while most of the passengers were on shore.
