Our position at noon today.
We had a very nice dinner last night in Prime 7 and could watch out window as we sailed out of the port at San Pedro. Always interesting to see how different one group of passengers is from the next. Think this group is more of a party crowd as all the seats at the bar in lounges were full. Seems to be nice folks but will reserve that decision for a few more days. A couple we met on our 2010 world cruise boarded yesterday and amazingly she remembered our first names. I'm terrible with names! I did remember their faces though.
Last night and so far today we are experiencing some bigger swells so the boat is kind of rocking and rolling. I just put half of a "Transderm Scop" patch behind my ear. It is to prevent getting sea sick. I doubt if I needed it but I like to practice "safe cruising". Nothing worse than being sea sick. I hope it calms down during the day or the kids (I call the Jean Ann Ryan singers and dancers "kids" because they are early 20's) will have tough time doing their show tonight. 10:30 am now and seems to be getting worse rather than better. On the Captain's noon update PA, he said we'll probably have this heavy swell for another 24 hours as there is big weather system north of our position.
Workouts are done and I, at least, am cleaned up. May do salad from room service again for lunch. Tonight is formal optional dress code. Rebecca just finished resewing a button back on my tuxedo pants. We just got an invitation to dine with Goran, our F&B friend, and Rose Mary, head of housekeeping, tonight after the Captain's Welcome Aboard Cocktail Party.
I may shock Rebecca and go take a dance lesson from the ballroom dance couple at 1:30 this afternoon. Was going to play shuffle board but too cool outside. Maybe I'll watch a movie on our tv instead. Ok, today I am posting some photos that I took during the last cruise at one of the production shows. Can't use flash and they move about a lot causing some blurry photos.
I'll add more photos tomorrow that I took at another of their shows. They are all very talented young people. Had a nice lunch in Compass Rose followed by NO dance lesson. Nap monster is calling!
