Our position this morning
The Captain seems to have found a very nice storm for us to sail through. It began sometime last night with lots of wind and rain squall lines. We are REALLY rocking and rolling today. Our Captain made PA about 10:00 am telling everyone to hold on and not go out on the open decks. He said it should start to improve later today as we are sailing from a strong low pressure area into a high (better weather) pressure system. Right now at 11:00 am we have winds over 40 miles per hour hitting the starboard (right) side of the ship causing it to list noticeably to the left. The Captain said he had altered course some to help keep the ship more upright. Hey, we paid for a boat ride and we are getting one today! Not sure if you can tell by the photo above just how rough it is.
We wanted to watch the Dallas Cowboy vs NY Giants game but the ship will not pay for the broadcast rights. I could not get the live stream on my laptop either nor could I get the radio broadcast of it. I could go on ESPN website and read each play in real time to follow game that way. It was a 7:30 central time start which was 4:30 here in Pacific. We had a 7:30 reservation in Prime 7 for dinner and the game was not over yet. One minute left and game was soooo close so I took my laptop to Prime 7 with us. I bet that was a first for Prime 7!! Other people thought we were two nuts! Game ended shortly after we got there and Cowboys won. Here is photo of my laptop at table in Prime 7.
We will be docked in Maui on Thanksgiving so will get off ship and try to find an open sports bar or hotel so that we can watch the Cowboys/Eagles game.
After dinner we went to the theatre to see Greg Bonham's show. What a super performer! He will be leaving the ship when we get to Hawaii and another entertainer will come aboard. After his show we went to the Horizon lounge for the "Liars Club". The asst cruise director, guest lecturer, and comedian were given a word no one had ever seen before and they each would give their definition of the word. Then teams of passengers would pick which one they thought was telling the truth. Rebecca and I were team #13. We came in tied for 2nd place. It is a hilarious game because the three people came up with some very funny definitions.

After dinner tonight the guest entertainer is a comedian, Steve Breuner. He is same person who was on the Liar's Club panel last night. He seemed very funny then so will probably be going to his show.
Tomorrow we will be docking in Nawiliwili (it is spelled correctly but no one can pronounce it) on the island of Kauai. A lot of motion pictures have been filmed on the "garden" island and our 6 hour tour is to take to the places where they were filmed. Weather forecast is good for Kauai tomorrow.
